Welcome to Thornbury Art Club Summer Exhibition 2020

The Summer Exhibition is the single most important event in our Art Club calendar. It celebrates us as a Club. It’s our ‘showcase’, and a chance to see what we have been doing over the previous twelve months, what has inspired us, new media we have experimented with and the techniques we have explored.

This year's exhibition has more significance due to the challenging covid times. The Art Club last met at beginning of March and with many members who have been shielding, the exhibition is an opportunity to share with each other our artwork. We also want to take the opportunity to remember a dear member who passed away suddenly last month. Richard Evans was relatively new to Thornbury and to the club but due to his enthusiasm, commitment and regularity in helping out and volunteering for tasks he will be greatly missed. We thank Yvonne for supplying some of his artwork, so we are able to display it in the exhibition.

Sadly we are unable to meet you all this year and deliver the exhibition physically to you in our regular venue at the Thornbury Methodist Church Hall but we have been able to embrace the 'new' normal and gone digital. We have even managed to incorporate our popular painting poll so please take the opportunity to follow the link and vote for your favourite painting.

So without further ado may we present to you Thornbury Art Club's 2020 Summer Exhibition!

We hope you enjoy it!
