The AGM was held on the 6th of February preceded by an enjoyable wine and cheese party. The club's financial affairs are healthy and all committee members were unanimously re-elected, Christine Deahl becoming Minutes Secretary and Elizabeth Smith is the new Exhibition Secretary.
The Spring exhibition was held at the Wyevale Garden Centre from the 8th to the 13th of May. Details of the 2009 exhibition can be found on the exhibitions page.
A coach trip to London during April is planned, together with a trip to Art in Action at Waterperry on July 18th.
The annual Summer Garden Party will be on Sunday 12th July, and the Thursday Studio group are in the process of putting together a summer outdoor painting programme, which will take place on Thursday afternoons.
The Club will be combining once more with the Thornbury Writers' group to produce artwork inspired by writing and likewise, pieces of writing inspired by artwork. The exhibition will probably take place in the library.
